Vanessa Lei Photography. Yoganess – Yoga and Wellness with Vanessa

Join me on a yoga retreat and you’ll be planning and plotting on how to join the next one! I offer these with my whole heart as I believe taking time away to a special place to focus on your health and wellness is the most valuable thing. I love to do this for myself and for others. If we don’t have our health – be that of mind, body or spirit – then really, what do we have?
These retreats will leave you with a feeling of rest and rejuvenation – don’t get me started on those topics! – 0f accomplishing something brave and new, of developing, going deeper into the practice of moving your body to what feels good for you, or delving a little bit more into the philosophy of why and how yoga, meditation and wellness actually works.

My love of photography is what started me off on my creative journey. As a young child my parents would document our family holidays or time at home just being, with a camera. To take a snapshot of a moment in time and have that as a tangible memory was fantastic and so precious. As a teenager I was the one always with the camera, taking photos of my family and friends, doing “selfies” with each other long before they became a thing!
When my Father, a man who didn’t share much about his life before us, when he passed away, my siblings and I were able to piece together his whole life from the photographs that he had taken since he was a young child. On the back of every photograph he had documented where/when/who etc. So very precious to have.
A photograph is a memory, a documentation of who we are, who we love, where we are. A tangible memory to bring back those moments in time, of love. Yes love, if we care enough to take a photograph, to organise a professional who loves what they do to take it for us, then that is an act of love. Thank you for trusting me with your precious memories.
